Kudos acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora nation. They are the traditional custodians of the land Kudos operates on. We create, design, share, and exchange our work and knowledge on this important meeting place. We pay our respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to any First Nations people who engage with Kudos. This is and always will be Aboriginal land.

Tender and troubling, PRICKED FINGERS presented by Kudos brings together six emerging textile artists grappling with the hidden and all too easily dismissed. Centring women’s stories, PRICKED FINGERS is simultaneously soft and uneasy, embracing textiles as a site of intergenerational storytelling that inevitably envelops us all.

Suspended worlds, memory, domesticity and the deeply relational enfold one another throughout this exhibition. As the familiar speaks in low tones, the pages of these interwoven stories are caressed by stained laundry and frayed wounds.
