Kudos acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora nation. They are the traditional custodians of the land Kudos Online operates on. We create, design, share, and exchange our work and knowledge on this important meeting place. We pay our respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to any First Nations people who visit Kudos Online. This is and always will be Aboriginal land.

AboutShopResources
Since 1998, Kudos supported by Arc Creative has provided a platform for the next generation of artists, designers, and curators to execute experimental project ideas through exhibitions, public programs and our digital space.

We are dedicated to fostering the professional practices of UNSW ADA students and early-career creatives through a variety of volunteering and exhibition programs. At the core of our programming is a commitment to equipping students with the skills they need to navigate and achieve success in the world outside of art school.

We hold with pride that our platform has been a steppingstone for some of Australia’s most established artists, designers, and curators including 2013 Archibald Prize winner Del Kathryn Barton (Unreflective Immersions, 1998), 2015 AGNSW Sulman Prize winner Jason Phu (Golden Century, 2008), and 2020 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellow Dennis Golding (Kudos Emerging Awards, 2018).

As we have done before, we aim to continue nurturing the professional practices of emerging creatives to become proficient and insightful voices speaking to the complexities of the world around us.

Our programming

Kudos Offsite hosts curated exhibitions and public programs in unique spaces in Sydney. The program gives emerging artists and curators the opportunity to execute an ambitious gallery-centered project over a fixed period.

The Kudos Committee consists of a group of dedicated students who drive our platform’s programming each year. They review applications, curate 3 Foot Square, organise the Kudos Emerging Awards and assist in the operations of our programming.

Kudos hosts an array of workshops, panels and information sessions at UNSW Art & Design that aim to equip students with the practical skills required of them in the art world.

Art Start Volunteering is designed for students who are seeking an introduction to the exhibition process. The program gives students an opportunity to receive mentorship to learn about exhibition installation, opening night operations and marketing.

Kudos’ shop showcases a curated collection of art and objects from emerging artists and designers at UNSW Art & Design. Through an online shop and collaborations with external organisations, we aim to connect the work of our students with prospectice buyers.

Kudos Digital is a platform for media artists to showcase a curated array of experimental, interactive and original artworks that play with the form of the web.
