Kudos acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora nation. They are the traditional custodians of the land Kudos operates on. We create, design, share, and exchange our work and knowledge on this important meeting place. We pay our respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to any First Nations people who engage with Kudos. This is and always will be Aboriginal land.
In my practice I find the the power and form of language is a powerful site for experimentation. The destruction of form and the reimagining of the way in which the written word can function as a site for practice is something that inspires me greatly. I want to create works which are minimal yet potent and have the power to communicate with audiences in a way that is abstract yet captures beauty and incorporates themes of empathy, observation and poses ideas which illuminate fragments of lived experience. |

The piece I am submitting is an experimental poetic account of my
experience working in the darkroom (at UNSW!). It involves research into
affect theory which provided me with a way to reinterpret my experience inthis space and allowed me to express myself in a way that was completely
new to me and was transformative in blending my lived experience with
creative expression. Quietly observing the world around me, the way lightshifts and landscapes are different every time you interact with them is
something that astonishes me and makes me feel inspired to explore the
intricacies of my environment, and through experimentation in the
darkroom and through written word I become dazzled by the power of
creative expression and exploration across these two mediums. Read |
